Rabbits

A rabbit is a small fury mammal. Its scientific name is Lepus Negricollis. It belongs to Leporidae family. Rabbits live in burrows in the ground. Each burrow is the home of a warren.
Rabbits are brown, white, black, gray and other in color of fur. They have four feet. They also have a short tail and two pointed ears. Rabbits are about 40 cms in length and weight about 4 kgs. Most rabbits eat many kinds of vegetables, especially carrots.
Rabbits belong to vivipar animal. Most doe usually pregnant about 29 – 31 days and they can bear about 4 – 10 kittens. The kittens suckle to their mom about 6 – 8 weeks. After that, the kittens can live alone. Every year a doe can pregnant about 5 times. Rabbits usually live about 5 – 10 years.
Rabbit is a weak and timid animal. They always surrounded by many enemies. Therefore, nature has given them with large ears to help them to hear every sound wave in the air. So, rabbits can detect its enemies in time and run to safe.
Male rabbits are called buck. They always protect their group from their enemies. Their enemies are men. For years men hunted rabbits for their meat, like sate etc. Men can also hunted rabbits for experiments. Besides men, there are many kinds of animal which eat rabbits too.
