Cherry Blossom (a Report Text)

CHERRY BLOSSOM




Cherry blossom or sakura (Japanese) is one of many trees that belongs to the Rosacea family. Its scientific name is Genus prunus. It is one species with plum tree and peach tree, but it generally classifies in subgenus cherry blossom.
The flowers’ color depends on its species. They are white and a little pink, pale yellow, pink pale green, and light red.
Cherry blossom flowers are different in 3 categories based on their crown leafs structure, they are:
• Single flower with a layer crown leaf
• Double flower with many layers crown leaf
• Semi double flower
Cherry blossom tress blooms once a year in Honshu Island. The flower’s buds of the someiyoshino species begin visible in the end of winter. The flowers start blooming in the end of march until the early of April when the weather begins warm.
In Japan, the blooming of cherry blossoms someiyoshino species start from Okinawa in February, then continued by the west of Honshu Island until Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto in the end of march until the early of April, then moves little by little to the north, and it ends in Hokaido. Its called Golden week.
